Porta Planning has submitted a planning application to Waverley Borough Council, on behalf of University for the Creative Arts (UCA), for new student accommodation at it’s Farnham Campus.
UCA is the leading specialist university for the creative industries and is celebrating 150 years of providing creative education in Surrey and Kent.
As part of UCA’s Masterplan and ongoing investment into their Farnham Campus, UCA’s proposal is for the provision of five purpose-built student accommodation buildings to provide 252 new bedrooms, together with improved communal and, landscaping and rationalisation of its existing car park. The new accommodation will be built on Farnham Campus and will provide a greater accommodation offering for its students and will enhance the campus community atmosphere and environment.
Prior to the submission of the application, a public consultation event was held at UCA’s Farnham Campus
on 16 and 17 March 2018. The event was well attended by local Councillors and members of the Farnham community, attracting more than 220 visitors, who gave their views and thoughts on the proposed plans. Further information on the project scheme can be found at http://www.uca-farnham-srp.co.uk
