Providing strategy advice and then undertaking pre-application discussions with the City of London Corporation before securing planning permission for external works to the building to enable the creation of 3,000sqft of office space within a redundant mezzanine plant level. Our strategic advice ensured there were no objections resulting from the rooftop works, which were sensitive owing to the site being within a Strategic Viewing Corridor and already above the height plane threshold.
We ensured that the client did not have to pay a Community Infrastructure Levy fee of approximately £80,000 by advising on the type of application being made.
